And Hugo Chavez is nothing but rhetoric? Standing up to the U.S. alone goes way beyond rhetoric. Chavez also took on Exxon - and won.

So how many U.S. politicians - Republican or Democrat - can you name who have stood up to Exxon?

I don't know where you get your sources but che was not a "brilliant military strategist".. before writing something up one has to be sure of the facts he uses.. And also you should do some research on Chavez too. Yeah he carries the "viva la revolucion" only through rhetoric but the way he lives and carries himself as a leader contradicts all of that, similar to Fidel. ughh i hate when people post without having a clue of what they're talking about. I suggest read people's biographies, be sure that what you think is accurately proved by facts, and then write. It's not about watching a movie like the motorcycle diaries and then being idealized by mere popular opinion. i definitely hate the age of the blog

Between your two comments, you mention facts, reason and logic. All of these are present in my article, together with many other related articles I've written. If you want to use name calling as an excuse to ignore the truth, that's your problem.

I'm not interested in winning points with the majority of people out there - most of whom are frighteningly stupid. For example, it's amazing how many people (liberals included) have swallowed the corporate media's lies about Hugo Chavez.

In fact, I've recently gained more fans than I ever did when I ran for public office, making both Bill Gates (the bad guy) and Hugo Chavez (the good guy) campaign issues. Most of my new allies are Latin American (and South American). They understand why Chavez and I call names, and they don't let those names blind them to the simple truth.

Sorry, but I'm fed up with the civility game. The article I wrote contains plenty of facts and reason. If you want to ignore it because I called Obama a war criminal (he is) or Kristi Helm a media whore (she is), that's your problem.

The corporate media call Hugo Chavez (e.g. tyrant, despot, idiot, etc.) for a reason. Like Chavez, I, too, know how to fight fire with fire. In fact, this article is actually pretty lightweight in terms of personal attacks by my standards. If you can't handle it, then you really shouldn't bother visiting any of my political sites. They're designed for mature adults.

Perhaps you could rewrite this without invective and ad-hominum and just use facts and reason, then it might get some traction. As it is, it is just another name calling letting off steam effort. Fulfill your potential and use reason and logic to further your argument.
